It is the future counterpart and the prototype of the T Series.
As the Resistance prepares for a massive invasion of Skynet forces to culminate in the destruction of Skynet Central, Skynet deploys a series of machines to capture two humans above all others: Kyle Resse and John Connor, while searching thought the prison cells of the Skynet Facility.
Connor finds one cell still occupied, but then Connor gets knocked back, when the machine inside bursts out, revealing itself to be a prototype T Infiltrator.
He shoots it multiple times on the chest but to no avail as the machine grabs him by the neck threw him on the side of the room. He smashes the butt of his gun at the T-RIP's face, with little effect and the machine responds by throwing him across the room. John manages to retreat to the laboratory, where he encounters a disoriented T, firing aimlessly after Kyle stabs it in the neck. T-RIP follows him and rips the T in half in the process. John then blasts it twice with a grenade launcher, causing its flesh coating to burn off, exposing its endoskeleton.
John blows up a hole and escapes alongside Kyle Reese and Star through the Terminator factory under the laboratory. Terminator: Salvation is a run-of-the-mill game adaption of a successful movie brand.
Overall okay, but way too short and without any highlights or variety. Terminator Salvation is a typical run-of-the-mill action game with no unique or innovative qualities. The game is built on a reasonably solid foundation but the lack of any gameplay innovations makes it a very repetitive game, and when you only get circa five hours of playtime there are few reasons for you to purchase this game.
The only redeeming quality in this package is the co-op mode, making the game at least worth renting with a friend. Charging full price for this game is nothing short of a ripoff. Game Over Online. In the end, Terminator: Salvation won't have you screaming for salvation, but rather wishing you were terminated from playing this game. Wait for the next reboot if you're hoping for that perfect, all around Terminator game.
While there are some cheap thrills to be found in the title's rail-shooter segments and hardcore Terminator fans will no doubt want to rent the title just for the chance to go toe-to-toe with a T, I can't recommend Salvation as anything more than exactly that: a rental. Were your movements less plodding, the weapons a bit meatier, the enemies even basically tactical, the story and dialogue more than perfunctory, the environments remotely imaginative, or the co-operative mode online-enabled, Terminator Salvation would still be far too rough around the edges, far too short, and far too cynical to withstand much critical inspection, but as it is, it's rubbish on virtually every count.

But you should play it on hard! Graphically and visually the game is This game is far better than any of those released in the last 4 months. Graphically and visually the game is perfect.
Plus the world created is so real and the machines DO incorporate so inpecably that this game will be one of my favourites. Many players would succumb to frustration before they even completed the first level.
The game also deviated from the film in a few areas, such as an early battle with a fighter jet for some reason. If you wanna get your fix for side-scrolling Terminator action, stick with the Sega CD. Terminator 2: Judgment Day is a film that carries a celebrated legacy of technical achievement for movie effects, great action scenes and probably the greatest amount of acclaim of any of the other releases in the series. The video game adaptations of this film hold the special distinction of being terrible across all platforms, with the exception of the excellent arcade light gun shooter that was also released.
This game features great graphics and frenetically fun gameplay that is sure to keep you and your friends entertained. The game features lots of cool pickups that can be added to your weapon to make it even more effective in battle.
You mow through a shooting gallery of machines and slightly follow the plot of the movie. There are a few challenging sections, such as escort missions, but the overall experience is memorable for all the right reasons. It is a first person shooter that allows the player to choose whether to be on the side of Skynet and the machines or the TechCom human resistance forces.
The game also featured an online multiplayer component that was still fairly innovative in War of the Machines was pretty much critically panned and was lacking in just about every way possible for a competent FPS. Critics also derided the multiplayer for poor matchmaking and a lack of dedicated servers. One even called it a failed attempt at copying Battlefield You and your squad discover a power suit known as Advanced Combat Armor that can be customized with a variety of weapons, shields and other attachments.
You fight against a wide variety of machine enemies, including Ts, As, Gs and many more. You move throughout the game world and search for items and weapons upgrades for your armor. It also helps to flesh out the world of The Terminator universe without having to rely on the storyline of a film. The NES version of The Terminator game releases has the dishonorable distinction of being the absolute worst one of the entire bunch.
The game was comprised of only four levels of mediocre gameplay that follow the plot of the movie. It was your standard side-scrolling action, with a couple of car scene chases for added variety.
It does very little to help the cause and just results in a variety of horrible examples of game design. The backgrounds do fair much better, though they come across as repurposed pieces of other games such as Super Mario Bros. Horrible music choices also plague this poor adaptation, as they present you with some of the most annoying assortments of bleeps and bloops imaginable.
